Not quite as good as my old chair at work (Alera Maxxis), but still very good. Firm, but comfortable; very sturdily built. The only tricky part of assembly was matching the seat back into the side arms -- you should leave the arms a little loose to help with the fit. Definitely have a flashlight handy to view the alignment of those parts for adding the mounting screws. A hex allen T-Wrench is provided for tightening all fittings. In general the seat is well designed and relatively easy to assemble. The lift has a good seat height when extended for a taller individual (6' 0") -- my feet are flat on the ground as I write this and there is still a little more lift available. The polyurethane wheels are strong and roll well even on carpet. The price makes this a great buy for a heavy-duty/heavy-weight executive office chair. Particularly with free shipping for Prime members.

Bought this chair to replace my sons chair that was falling apart. We have had it almost a year and still in great shape. Chair is very comfortable and helps with bad backs. This chair holds up well and was easy to put together.

I just assembled this today, it took @ 2 hours by myself and though the instructions are not 100 % it's pretty intuitive. It's a nice comfortable chair, if it lasts a year or two I'll be happy.

I purchased this chair supposedly rated to handle 500 lbs. It lasted just a few days beyond the one year warranty. The mechanism that handles rocking and lifting literally broke the welds, ripped the metal support and dumped me out backwards on the floor. I weigh 230 lbs. The manufacturer wouldn't/couldn't sell me the replacement parts that were ruined and were of no help whatsoever. Enough said.......
