Our propane knife forge is built for your forging. Approximate Maximum Heating Temperature: 2462℉ / 1350℃, enough for forging metals. Our vertically designed firing system maximizes heating efficiency on our 153.6 kW·h / 524k BTU burner.

Better Insulation Effect

Before you use the propane forge, you need to rigidize the insulation blanket to reduce the dust while using it. The high purity aluminium silicate fiber blanket and the forge lid will help maintain the temperature for a long time to get a better insulation effect.

Large Capability

This propane forge features a spacious workspace that allows the ideal exposure to the flame center spot due to the suitable chamber volume. Meanwhile, the pure iron cold-rolled plate case is sturdy and durable.

Gas Consumption Control

This farrier forge supports the gas pressure adjustment for gas consumption control by spinning the knob on the regulator. Also, the gas output can be controlled independently by the ball valve. The push-pull oxygen port switch is labor-saving to use.

Usage Instruction

Here are the simple instructions for our propane forge for knife making. Step 1: Put the fire brick into the furnace. Step 2: Open all the gas inlet valves to release gas in a small volume. Step 3: Ignite the gas. Step 4: Adjust the gas pressure to control the firepower.

Cheap and needs configuration

I bought it because it had a less kw burner, thought it could save gas compared to the newer models. Also the back hatch to keep the heat in and the forge kit with gloves and tong. So I needed to spend a couple of weeks on having it coated with fire cement and after, a fire proof sealant. I cut the fire stone that came with to fit the new smaller space, I used the leftovers to partially seal the front as well. I replaced the valve and hose and built an ad-on to keep the hose further away for better quality. Also put 2 bolts in the chimney to keep it steady. I fire it up with my kitchen burner for brulee pudding. And it works very well. Made 5 knifes and learning. It eats gas though, 8-10kg for maybe 3-4 hours. The tongs needed to be adjusted and hardened, but I got a gas forge now so no problem. The gloves were fine too.

Works great but you do need to use Teflon tape when putting together

I would’ve preferred a little more instructions considering this was my first forge as far as assembly goes but I was able to figure it out and it works nicely

Got good burners

The burners and the body of the forge seem to be constructed well seems the insulate the box pretty good . The shut-off valves and the supply hose that they sent throw them away and buy you a new one the valves melted within 10 minutes due to a plastic seat inside them. Go to Lowe's and get you three brass shut off valves and replace them and get you some fire resistant hose to replace what they send.Been using for about 2 days so far so good once I fix the issues with the valves and the hose. Can't find a way to contact the vendor the gas regulator is broke. Replaced it with an old one I had off my other forge. All in all seems to be pretty decent little three burner forge.
