The optical quality is very good. The stand is solid and well balanced. The boom arm has some uneven friction, but the other mechanical adjustments are smooth. For a camera with a 1/2 " sensor you will need a 0.35 X camera adapter and most likely some distance rings for the camera. Over all good value for the price, easy to use.

Love this - can do tiny stone setting really easily now. I don't use it very often but when I need it I'm glad I have it. It's also great for science and nature observation work too.

A very precisely made microscope. Many aluminum parts with good powder coating and milled surfaces. Well packed in a styrofoam box for shipping. For example the socket has a copper bushing to not scratch the rod, someone thought of that! I checked the functionality and put it back in the box as a gift. I have the opportunity to compare this microscope with the Leica I use at work and the difference is that the Leica has a fixed focus when I zoom. But not this microscope. But this can be solved by changing the height with the second wheel. Very good choice for home repair tool.

I set it up looks ok I then order a camera for it I brought it so I can service my watches still waiting for some special tools so I can get started

I use this microscope to repair watches and l find it invaluable for this job and l highly recommend it to anyone who is dealing with small parts

Excellent quality sliding arm. Very heavy base so no movement. Everything works as it should, add a ring light and you're good to go. (Get the 144LED one, the 56LED one I bought isn't as bright, especially important as the light path is split to the camera mount all the time) My C-Mount camera on the mount gives about 1/2 the field of view of the eyepieces, but that depends on sensor size, and can be corrected with purchase of an appropriate lens, but I just 3d printed a mount for my DSLR.Negatives... It seems to have been assembled in a dust storm.. several of the optics were dirty on delivery, and the zoom knob feels gritty as you turn it. I fully expect to dismantle this soon, clean everything and re-grease to make it every bit as good as the Amscope that cost a few hundred dollars more. I shouldn't have to though..

The ocular lenses are a bit loose in their places assembled with the screws that came with it and the balance is a bit off when the arm fully extended, but it's a very nice product with very sharp image quality.
