This is a true work horse in the kitchen. This would have received five stars from me if it had come assembled correctly as it took me hours to figure out what was not correct. It is a bit expensive and now I saw one for 60.00 hard plastic cover but again in a regular house hold that_ ok to . I do like my kitchen to be all stainless steel so I decided to keep it. I only recommend this for chefs that know how this works. I am a chef so instantly I knew it was not correctly assembled, however took me a long time to figure it out . This is not for everyone.

Very well built and works very well. The only negative is that it is large and clumsy to store. It is very good for slicing multiple cucumbers at a time for pickles. Very easy to adjust and it adjusts from paper thin to reasonably thick. Very sharp and sturdy blades and very easy to use. Easy to take apart for cleaning, except for the little spring lock bolt on the back of the blade shaft which is hard to get your fingers on. Once you do it comes apart very nice and goes back together even nicer.

I cater for large groups 250+ people. After I bought this cutter and started using it, time spent on cutting the vegetables has reduced significantly.
