I bought VEVOR Beach Cart for the purpose of transporting beach equipment, such as chairs, sunbeds, and umbrellas, since our apartment is located near the beach, and it is difficult to transport everything by hand. I was interested in the VEVOR because its large inflatable wheels, which can be comfortably dragged along the sand on the beach, and high curbs or stairs are no problem for it.
The total width of the cart (wheel span) is not indicated with the product, but only the width of the front part. Unfortunately for us, the cart is too wide to fit through the apartment door, so we only have to load it when it's out in the hallway. If I knew the actual width, I would probably choose a different, smaller model.
This cart is a great helper and we are very happy with it. However, I would like to give the manufacturer some tips for possible improvements in the future.
- The cart is perhaps unnecessarily wide. A smaller width would not affect the amount or type of loaded items and the cart would be significantly easier to handle and would also be less of a hindrance to people on narrow sidewalks.
- I assume that many people use the trolley to transport beach equipment. I really miss a fixed full platform, or at least a filled part of the platform, which would allow the transport of smaller things (such as umbrellas) that otherwise cannot be placed forward because they would fall to the ground.
- The mesh bag is probably the most useful part, because it stores a lot of small things that are otherwise difficult to transport. Despite being bulky, it could be a little bigger. Small things are usually the most to transport. Its disadvantage is the zipper, which fastens around the entire perimeter and is often problematic to close, or, on the contrary, opens if there are more things in the bag. The second disadvantage is the attachment to the trolley, which is only Velcro, which gradually loosens with greater weight. It would be more appropriate to solve the attachment with a fixed connection. Another disadvantage is that if the mesh is too full, it rubs against the wheels, which can damage it over time.
- I also consider the foam handle as a disadvantage, which is nice to the touch, but in our case it was torn after only one week of use. Its lifespan is probably very short.
- Although the cart may not be specifically designed for this, many people will probably take advantage of the large wheels to transport a loaded cart up stairs. The VEVOR can comfortably handle the journey down the stairs, and if it is not loaded with too heavy things, you can easily pull it up the stairs as well. The only problem is the fixation of the height-adjustable handle to the cart, which is only pressed with side screws and not firmly fixed with a screw and nut. With a heavy load and pulling up the stairs, it can easily be pulled out and the cart will fall.
I rate it very positively and I definitely recommend it for beach use.
