At 100 mm (3.9 in) high, this plastic floor pallet raises stored items well above the floor, leaving a clear space between the floor and the base of the palletized load. This 100 mm gap does more than just keep the goods from getting wet. HDPE Waterproof Material That Blocks Moisture at the Floor-to-Goods Interface 

Each pad is made from high-density polyethylene (HDPE). This type of plastic does not soak up water from the floor below and also prevents moisture from reaching stored goods. The waterproof HDPE construction creates a protective barrier between the floor and stored goods. This stops water from moving from the wet concrete floor to the base of the goods stored on the pad. Long-term floor contact can damage cardboard boxes, wooden crates, fabric-wrapped items, and hygroscopic bagged materials. 

Unlike wood pallets, HDPE does not absorb moisture or transfer it to stored goods over time. The HDPE surface stays in good shape and keeps moisture away for long periods without swelling, warping, or encouraging biological growth on wood in basements and on ground floors that stay damp all the time. The material is also resistant to the chemical cleaners used in commercial floor cleaning. It keeps its shape even after being washed many times in places like warehouses and supermarkets.

Breathable Grid Pattern for Continuous Airflow Through the Elevated Storage Zone 

Within the grid pattern on the top of each pad, air can flow freely through the gaps in the deck material, keeping the area between the raised pad surface and the goods on top of it well ventilated. The breathable grid complements the waterproof HDPE base by promoting continuous airflow. The breathable grid helps reduce condensation by improving airflow beneath stored goods and preventing moisture from becoming trapped. 

The 100 mm clearance creates an open airflow space beneath stored goods. A solid-deck pallet at the same height does not allow as much airflow around the stored goods as this combination of side-open clearance and top-grid ventilation. This makes the microclimate below the goods base less humid, and the packaging contact surface stays dry for longer storage periods.
