XPE Modular Foam with Egg-Crate Lid Layer for Customizable Double-Layer Protection 

The 4 pistol hard case features XPE foam modules in the base that can be customized to organize pistols, magazines, and accessories. The modular design allows the interior to be rearranged as the stored items change. For example, the expandable foam positions can be used to hold a longer-barrel variant, a suppressor, a cleaning kit, or protective eyewear and earmuffs without having to replace the whole foam bed.

If you open the upper lid, egg-crate-shaped foam lines the inside. This foam conforms to the tops of the items you are storing and provides a soft second layer of cushioning that keeps pistols and magazines from moving up and down inside the compartment during transport. Pressure-Equalising Valve for Stable Internal Pressure During High-Altitude Transport 

Within the case body is a pressure equalizing valve that lets the air pressure inside match the outside pressure as atmospheric pressure changes during high-altitude air transport. The pressure difference between the sealed interior and the lower-pressure aircraft hold creates a vacuum effect, making it difficult or impossible to open the case after landing. This is a common problem with fully sealed hard cases that lack a way to relieve pressure.

The valve slowly releases the pressure difference during ascent and re-equalizes during descent. This keeps dust, moisture, and other debris from entering through the vent point, maintaining the case's IP67 environmental protection rating during a full flight's pressure cycle. The pressure valve prevents shooters who often fly to competitions or training events with checked guns from having to force the case open after landing with a sealed case that does not have this feature.

The 4 pistol hard case is designed with features commonly required for compliant firearm transport, including lock holes for user-provided padlocks. According to TSA guidelines, firearms must be transported in a locked, hard-sided container, and passengers should follow airline and local regulations. The two padlock holes on this case are intended to meet this requirement when the owner attaches a padlock with the right body diameter.

For compliant transport, users should install appropriate locks in accordance with applicable regulations. This keeps the IP67 seal compressed. When padlocks are inserted through the lock holes at the latch positions, they physically prevent the latches from opening, which helps prevent unauthorized opening during transport.
