The VEVOR V shape LED aluminum channel features a V-shaped cross-section that positions the LED strip at the apex of the angled interior, directing light output toward a specific angle rather than directly downward. This shape focuses the light beam in a clear direction relative to the mounting surface. This makes the V-profile perfect for situations where you want to light up a specific area, like the inside of a bookcase, the back of a display case, the treads of stairs, or a corner wall, instead of spreading light in all directions.
The profile angle also changes the visual presentation when viewed from the side. A V-shaped channel mounted at the edge of a stair or on the front of a shelf has a slimmer, more discreet profile. This detail adds to the clean, architectural look of the finished installation and lets the channel blend in more discreetly with the surface geometry at the edges of stairs and shelves, where it can be seen as considered the design.
A frosted silver anodized aluminum channel body protects the surface in three ways: the hardened anodized layer prevents scratches; the electrochemical surface treatment resists corrosion; and the sealed pore structure stops oxygen from the air from reaching the base metal. These features keep the channel's finish and structural integrity for years to come in residential installations, such as kitchen cabinets exposed to steam and cooking vapors or stair installations touched by people and cleaning agents.
The anodized finish of the V shape LED aluminum channel is built into the aluminum rather than being added as a separate layer. This means it won't peel, chip, or flake during use or cleaning. This ensures the channel maintains its shiny silver appearance and protective function for as long as the installation lasts, without requiring regular refinishing or protective coating.
At 0.02 in. thick, the milky plastic cover spreads the LED strip's output across the whole channel opening. It does this by turning the point-source light from each emitter into a smooth, continuous band with no bright spots showing. This diffusion turns an exposed LED strip into a professional-grade linear light fitting. The chip positions fade behind the milky cover, and the channel length appears as a single, evenly lit line within the viewing angle.
Lower-quality diffuser materials turn yellow over time when exposed to UV light and heat from the LED strip. This degradation slows down light transfer and adds a yellow tint over time. You do not have to replace the cover to restore light quality, as the polycarbonate cover is designed to resist yellowing during normal use, keeping the light output neutral and clean for the life of the installation.
The 20-pack format comes with 20 separate 1m sections, covering a total of 20 meters. This is enough for full lighting projects in multiple rooms, a complete staircase run, or a distributed accent lighting scheme, all in one purchase. When the full amount is available at the beginning of a project, there are no shortages in the middle that stop work and require more orders.
Each V shape LED aluminum channel section can be installed on its own, so the 20 sections can be spread out over several different mounting points. This flexibility works well for V-shaped applications like stair nosing lighting, where each tread gets its own section, or bookshelf lighting, where each tier gets its own run. The 20-section quantity is sufficient for many staircase lighting projects, with additional sections available for adjacent landings or other accent lighting applications.
It is easy for beginner installers to follow the four-step process: use the included hardware to attach the mounting clips to the target surface, press the V-shaped channel body into the clips until it is secure, stick the LED strip along the inside of the channel using the strip's self-adhesive backing, and then press the milky PC cover into the opening until it snaps into the retention groove. It comes with all the necessary accessories, including mounting clips, end caps, and the PC cover.
You can remove and reinstall the snap-fit cover without using any tools when you need to replace or move the LED strip. End caps press into both open ends of each section, keeping dust from building up at the ends of the V-shaped profile and giving the beginning and ending points of each channel run a clean, finished look.
The V shape LED aluminum channel works well in installations where angled light output and a thin profile are useful or visually appealing. If you are installing stair nosings, the channel runs along the front edge of each tread. The angled shape directs light towards the tread surface and riser face below, lighting both from a single channel position and improving step visibility for safe walking in low light.
Corner lighting uses the V-channel at interior wall junctions to direct light along one or both wall planes from a single mounting line. The focused directional output makes it easier to see the contents of a display case from a certain angle. It is also suitable for seasonal decorative lighting and temporary event displays.
