Abyste s tímto modelem dosáhli při oškubávání kachen nejlepších výsledků, je nutné je před vložením do oškubávače důkladně opařit v horké vodě (přibližně 150°F–160°F / 65°C–70°C) s přídavkem malého množství prostředku na mytí nádobí, aby se narušila vodoodpudivá vrstva na peří.
