The winch is strong, quite fast and it works usually as expected. Max force is probably close to adverticed when most of the rope is out of the drum but gets weaker when it is spooled up.
Sometimes the motor or the relay system freezes during winter and it does not spin the drum in any direction, only makes clicking sound when pressing remote button.
Once there was a problem that the winch refused to let the rope out when it was loaded, it would still go in but not out. When I released the rope tension the winch was able to pull the rope inwards. I suppose this was also because of something freezing.
My winch is inside a steel bumper so that there should not be much water on it at any point. If you have your winch exposed to elements you may experience these problems more often.
IMO winch mounting bolts are quite thin and 8.8 hardness. I would prefer M12 or bigger bolts for this sized winch.
