As the fan is designed for environments with potential explosive materials such as paint fumes etc, explosion proof fans will be considerably more expensive than a conventional fan, this must be considered when purchasing and comparing costs. I was pleased to find that this model was to the same high quality as an explosion proof fan I had previously bought, but was around 100GBP cheaper. When comparing both side by side they're almost identical.The extraction works very well, I use additional ducting to direct paint fumes through a filter system as the exhaust side of the fan is quite powerful, keep this in mind if you intend to use this fan in different locations. Overall, I'm very pleased with this fan, excellent build quality and better value than similar models.
