There is no weight change, no button operation, and the machine will automatically shut down after 5 minutes by default. In the zero state, long press the TARE button to enter the shutdown time and select "1" (minute), "3" (minutes), "5" (minutes), "one" (no automatic shutdown), and press the MODE button to confirm. It will not shut down automatically when powered by DC.
