Welcome! My question is, can it absorb large amounts of water by itself? So, does it have a built-in pump or can it only work with low pressure?

The pump is a plunger pump. The pump and the engine drive the high-pressure pump swash plate to rotate. The mechanical energy transmitted from the engine uses the action of its own system to pressurize (compress) the water to produce high-pressure water.
