I want to know if the footrest system can be removed to allow for easier movement at my home, without scraching the walls and allow access in narrow spaces in my home: bathroom, or kitchen.

The pedal of the product can only be rotated upwards. The pedal can be removed with the provided hexagonal key, but it is more troublesome to install it after removal, so it is generally not recommended to remove it.
