I want to roll annealed silicon bronze which has a hardness of about ~95 HRB (notice the -B). I understand that "raw" 45# steel has a hardness that is less (~90 HRB). However, understand that #45 steel which has been induction hardened is much harder at ~60 HRC (notice the -C). Do you know if the #45 steel used in the rollers is just "raw" or has it been induction hardened ?
