I installed a diesel air heater in my car and had to drill a hole in the body for the exhaust pipe. A magnetic drill worked well and quickly drilled the hole in the right place.

This is probably the smartest way of saving money. We drill more then 50 holes in 10mm steel beams. The only thing we had to do is to re-tighten the electrical connection as the magnetic part got disconnected few times. I recommend to use the tightening strap for safety. Otherwise, I fully recommend it
