I received my lathe, and it was on time and in good condition. Ofc. There are some issues with a lathe at this price range, though I didn't expect that many.
The lathe only has two mounting screwa, which doesn't help with stability. Furthermore, the lathe cannot be at 0 rpm, which I personally don't like and didn't see when I bought it. That's on me though. The thing I find most annoying is the gears. Sure they are metal, but they don't fit!! I need the highest speed and lowest feedrate, but the gears won't allow that - which really suck!! I tried all the combinations possible and only the three highest feed rates are possible...
The spindle doesn't seem damaged, but the bolt that keeps the spindles gear in place is warped, and scrapes against the top gear...
The carriage is a thing of it's own, but with some effort it can be okay I guess. The ways are warped, which restrains the carriage to not going all the way back, without damaging the leadcrew or the carriage.
It is very unstable, and u need to have a fixed workspace for it, unless the vibrations are going to mess everything up.
As my photos are all .heic I can't be bothered for an upload if pictures.
In hindsight, I wish I bought an old less modern lathe and upgraded it along the way instead of this machine. I wish I could have my money back.
