struggled for a while with the fasteners that hold the cover onto the compactor. One of them held perfectly from the start of compacting my new paver patio, but the other kept loosening. No matter how hard I tightened the bolt, it would hold for a minute, then loosen again. I finally managed to fix it properly, but I still don't understand why one went on so easily and the other was so difficult, especially since both sides of the compactor plate are identical, as are both sides of the Vevor cover where the fasteners are installed. This problem with one fastener was the only issue I encountered with the Vevor cover; otherwise, it worked exactly as intended. The design of the Vevor cover is a real weak point. There's a machined slot across its entire width where 80 to 90% of the material has been removed, creating a significant weak point that will inevitably fail. I thought that this slot might be used to facilitate the curvature of the front edge of the cover (which has an angle of approximately 45°) to match the angle of the front compaction plate (which is approximately 30° on the Harbor Freight compactor). If so, it's a design flaw.

Worked great on a Wacker Neuson 14\". After reading the 1* reviews I was worried but it finished 6 passes on 400ft2 of pavers without a hitch.
