Is this model safely self-primed when connecting the hose to a non-pressurized water source such as a bucket? Will the motor or pump be damaged if running dry during priming of an empty hose?
This product is safe to self-prime. There is a buffering process during the filling of the empty hose to absorb water. There is pressure on the machine when it sucks water. The machine should be used frequently and keep water in the pump.
