Made of stainless steel, but not high quality stainless steel. The hose is really cheap as are the hose clamps, and these will need to be changed. The steel plunger system appears very strong and durable and that is the heart of a sprayer. Having a pressure gauge is a nice touch. All in its about as good a sprayer as you can find anywhere and I looked at a lot of them, but as with every other sprayer out there it_ not perfect.When unpacking the sprayer has a horrible metallic smell, I had to put it outside my house it was that strong but it goes away after a few days

The pump is a little tricky to get out of the canister and the hose is not the best material. It tends to kink cutting off the flow of liquid.The major set back is the auto lock which if you are not prepared for and are using it for painting textures will mess up the project.

My husband has bought numerous sprayers over the years. None ever last very long. This is the first sprayer that works well, and is built to last. He likes it so well he recently bought a second one.

The fact that this sprayer does not have a "flat spray" nozzle is a drawback as you can not keep a straight edge if coming up against vegetation. The cone nozzle also creates more "drift" of the spray which can impact sensitive plants.The threads on the wand and nozzle are not of a common size thus I have been unable to find a nozzle from any other supplier that would fit. The supplier does not have any alternative nozzle. The product is made in China and does not really have a brand name.Having said the above I must say that when I spoke with the supplier (Forkwin) they were very very understanding of my concern and were exceptional deal with, I would rate them % star.
