I bought this item because our new American Style Fridge requires plumbing work, which we do not have, to feed into the water/ice system. This pump with a big water bottle allows us to get the water/ice function working, most importantly, it starts/shutdown itself only when you are using the fridge's water/ice dispenser.

This works great to hook up the 5 gallon water bottle to our refrigerator Ice maker. It is a little noisy when it_ filling but only lasts for a few seconds.

We added our 5 gallon water jug under the sink and use this to get water to a sinking faucet. Has great pressure but it is kind of loud for what it is.

Works great, nothing to install. However, it is noisy .
