Great Motor!
Stays cool and is strong. Esc held out too but ultimately fried. I had put a bigger sprocket on the motor for an electric go kart but need to put the oem sprocket back on to avoid over-amping the circuit. Motor never wavered. It_ a beast. Worked at 48v too

Great value, well built motor for your Diy project
I have $500 bucks invested in a pretty cool e-woods bike based on a freebee 88' yamaha Dt-50. This motor has a good 6 to 1 gear reduction with a compatible 420 9 tooth chain sprocket. It was pretty easy adapting it to the cycle. I dropped the rear sprocket from a 40 tooth to a 32 smaller one. This resulted in a top speed of 13 mph based on a 17 inch rear tire. Fast enough for a woods bike and plenty of torque even for a 200 lb adult. I also went with a 48v 20ah li-ion battery and a 48v 1000w brushed motor speed controller. This motor runs cool even at an over voltage condition. Runs thru the woods for about 7 to 8 miles at full throttle before needing a recharge. I have put 50 miles on this thing so far and am planning on trying it with a 60 volt battery pack and controller. Well built motor, pretty quiet for a brushed type. Recommended

Torque Monster
I wanted to wait a while to test and write a good post to pass good info before you buy.Cons: charger arrived cracked, throttle wires schematics don_ make any sense (keep reading), communication with the seller is not very helpful, motor mount is not strong enough to support the torque the motor puts out, ended up blowing the controller because the wiring schematics were off and did not make any sense, bought another one from a different seller and worked fine.Pros: phenomenal torque (pulls close to 500 lbs easily at 16 MPH), once you figure out the wiring you can get to its maximum rpm of 600 (red, black and green wire off the throttle is all you need). I did not use the different speed modes because it_ easier to just control the speed with the throttle. The motor has so much torque it bent the mounts it sits on. You may have to reenforce the mounts somehow depending on what your doing with it. A #40 chain is what you_l need to run it. I got a 48v,20 ah, 1000w battery to run it and it pulls our entire family for about 4 miles.Bottom line:If you need torque, this is the motor for you. It_ pretty quiet when running. The motor is really the only quality you get out of this package.
