It doesn_ hold as much as advertised and is about $100 over priced.
The spigot leaks and so does the thermometer fitting but the seller made it right and they obviously care about their customers. I like how the legs are adjustable for when you_e bottling which makes it a lot easier and it made fantastic beer.

just what I wanted!!
Very Satisfied with the product. Have already used it once, a very tight seal!! Work Great!!Very well made, be careful of the open and shut off valve, extremely easy movement.Just a slight nuge and it's open, not a complaint just a fact.

Stainless steel brewing container
I haven't used this product yet , however it is everything It says on the tin. It appears to be robust and I like conical base which will mean I should be able to draw off the beer without disturbing the inhibited yeast too much. One small quibble though,it didn't arrive particularly clean.

Needed a bit of fettling, but works well and will probably last forever.
My wife bought this as a Christmas present for me, I had added it to a wish list and to be honest didn't spend too much time researching it, she just asked me for some ideas and I fancied trying brewing some beer and thought stainless steel would be better than a plastic bucket. When I prepared to brew, I checked the Kitgarn over, there were a few blemishes to the welds but nothing I couldn't handle, the whole thing needed a good clean to get manufacturing type oils and dirt fully removed, after all this needs to be fully sanitised so any engineering type oils needed to be completely eradicated, this was quite a job, but was completed soon enough. The seal around the tap work well, but the thread on the valve spout needs some PTFE to fully seal it, but thats to be expected of any substantial metal thread where liquids are involved. As you can see from the pictures, I brewed a stout using the Kitgarn and other brewing equipment (Mash Tun etc), all in all the Kitgarn did a great job, nothing much beter than you could get form a plastic bucket, but this will last forever, it's really built that well, whereas plastic buckets will need replacing over time. I particularly like the conical base, this could help a lot if you want to recultivate your yeasts as it is caught nicely in the cone just below the output. The lid has such good clamps and seals that there is no possibility of it being removed unintentionally or knocked off.I gave it only 4 stars because it did need some TLC to get it brew ready, that might be a little unfair as you can't expect something like this for the price to be spotless, the legs are simply exposed steel so could easily scratch surfaces and there are a few sharpo edges, but nothing I would describe as faulty, just where the steel has been cut, a bit of a sanding with some emery cloth will remedy that.Overall, I'm happy with the Fermenter, it feels a little overkill, then again it will be used over and over again and if I ever hang up my beer brewing boots, I think I could probably sell it again for not much less than its price on here.

Very solidly built
This fermenter is very solidly built, especially for the price. It has everything you'd expect from a more expensive model -- tri-clamp fitting with adjustable rotating racking arm, 1/2" NPT ball valve, good quality rubber gasket on the lid, etc.Nothing on it feels flimsy, cheap or ill-fitting and it's exactly what I expected when upgrading my home brewery. It's stainless steel so it doesn't scratch like plastic fermenters can, giving bacteria a place to hide. There's a reason you see only stainless steel conical fermenters at professional breweries.--JT

Five stars could easily have been had
This is awesome, no leaks, incredible value for the money. Only issue I had with it was that one of the clips was flat, so couldn't clamp the top down. We bent the clip to fix it ourselves and accidentally dented the bucket but it now works great. I recommend this without hesitation (but maybe the manufacturer can QA the clips a little better before they ship.

Does not seal tightly
The tank has a silicone gasket that did not seal tightly to the lid to pressurize the bubbler. I purchased a sheet of silicone and put it between the gasket and lid. Works now.

A decent fermenting vessel
It feels sturdy, and the gaskets seem to hold well. I have not had anything pressurized with an airlock yet, but the plug at the top fits snug.
