It is true, the instructions do read like a cliche Chinese food take-out menu, however, the features and functions of the machine are exactly as advertised. I am using this machine, quite successfully, to convert single phase 240V (line measured 250V residential) and run a three phase, 5HP vintage Colchester Lathe. If you have some common sense you can figure out what the lines in and out are; if you can't you probably shouldn't be messing with this type of hardware. There are a million setting features that are available but you only really need to change a few. Similarly to my TECO inverter on my Bridgeport, you can set this unit up with a 5V control and even include frequency steps, DC braking, acceleration and deceleration parameters for the motor, and remote switching, E-stop, and a Potentiometer control. I went ahead and wired this unit using the original drum switch on the lathe as my on off, and then used the parameter features to setup my Forward and Reverse switch using the factory switch, however the only signal going through these switches is the 5V created by the inverter (DCM connection). If you need to go Single Phase to 3 phase, this unit will certainly do it.
