Alittle off balance while using

For the money, for a beginner beekeeper, this seems like a good buy. It assembled easily and should work fine. A few things to consider:1) the legs are stamped sheet steel, and the edges are SHARP! I knocked the corners down with a file before I assembled it.2) the thread fit was super sloppy for the bolts that hold the legs on. I thought they might rattle loose during use, so I used some blue threadlocker.3) Some other reviews complained about the gears stripping out after one or two uses. I took the gearbox apart, and found that there was NO grease or oil whatsoever inside! The gears did look OK though, they are machined rather than injection molded, and medium hardness judging by the file test. I packed the housing with grease and re-assembled with some RTV for a gasket. The bearings are not sealed and it is possible that some oil from the grease will separate and leak out. If this becomes a problem, i can disassemble, clean, and re-pack with a food grade lubricant.disclaimer: I have not used this yet to spin honey, these are just first impressions.

Easy to assemble and worked great. Definitely bolt it down to something if you can. Otherwise having one person hold it down while the other person cranks seems to work fine. Make sure the crank handle is very tight or it might come loose.
