I had expected to be able to make arbitrary diagonal cuts across tiles with this, but you can only make them from a corner. My mistake, no points off for that, just be warned. The cutter I received does not sit flat, I have to clamp it down front and back to keep it from rocking. One star off. The insert over which one cuts sits above the foam pads the tile sits on, so the tile rocks. I've had to add additional pieces of foam to keep the tile stable before cutting. Second star off. As I have a portable work table with built in clamping possibilities, I can mitigate the first issue, although it limits access a bit. Adding the foam is a little trickier as I'm a little nervous about damaging the included foam, so I only lay thin foam pieces over the mounted pads. It tends to slip when the cut tile is removed so I have to replace it for each cut. With these two adjustments it does cut pretty well.

I purchased this tile cutter for as I am doing my bathroom tile. The laser wasnt the best to use. Also, the tile saw kept cracking/braking my tile once I got towards the end. You needed to apply a decent amount of pressure for it to break evenly. A few taps didn't work for my tile. I have 5ftx3ft tiles and I wouldn't recommend this cutter for these type of porcelain tiles. Maybe smaller tiles it would work for. I ended up using just a circular saw with a very good diamond blade which made cleaner cuts.

The alignement of the cutter on the base is offset You have to align it and drill and grind the plastic at the end of the frame The frame is to soft When you cut and try to press to split the tile, the frame bind and it become hard to split I have to had steel piece under all the lenght the strength the frame After all that it's a good cheap tool

Quality is ok. But the middle flexes to much and doesn't score the tile. Other ones have support there. So I have to push down on the center section. Not fun. Wish I would have returned. Not a good long term solution.
