Replacing the motor has saved us the cost of a new recliner chair, and the only disconcerting thing is the motor is quieter. I might have to buy another motor for the other side :D

After a bit of measuring, I ordered this kit to fit my DFS sofa. I only needed the actuator/motor part which was very easy to replace needing only a spanner and an allen key. But because the wiring was at the other end, I had to re-loom it and cable tie the wires to stop them getting trapped in the mechanism. The kit comes with everything you'd need to replace the whole system, although the plug is NOT a UK one and would need replacing. Very pleased.
