Note that this is too powerful for ethanol distillation - one would need to reduce the power to the heater (but not the fan) in order achieve this. e.g. by using something like a "AC 220V 4000W Variable Voltage Regulator Step Down Voltage Converter Transformer Motor Speed Fan Control Controller" to reduce the voltage to 135V (260Watts). These are available for around _15 so would work out a lot cheaper in total than other "air" distillers currently selling for around _150. Such a setup could remove around 850ml of 65% ABV in just under 1.5hrs from a 15% wash. I'm not recommending you this though because it may be illegal in your area :-)I knocked a star off because it is sold as a 4 litre distiller whereas the "Full" line marked on the cylinder is at around 3.6 litres. Maybe 4 it's litres when brim full but I haven't checked.

Simple to use, don't overthink it. Put in a low alcohol substance, set it to the distillation temperature you want and come back later to collect your alcohol. Thermostat does all the work. Top class. I used this for the production of hand sanitising gel.

We love our Mophorn Distiller which we use mainly for health reasons. And because of this, we are continuing to experience positive results with our health.This is our 3rd 4L distiller purchased in the past 18 months. The 1st distiller purchased from eBay was total crap... The 2nd distiller purchased also from eBay just happened to be a Mophorn Distiller, which can easily put out 24L in 24hrs if necessary. This 3rd distiller (Mophorn Water Distillers Countertop Stainless Steel 4L 750W Digital Control) was purchased because we wanted more pure water to be available for consumption.I am so glad that we made the decision to purchase another Mophorn simply because - we now have plenty of pure water available for our consumption, which is what we wanted!We also have been using distilled water for our 20gal aquarium, and the water seems to maintain its clarity quite a bit longer limiting how often we have to do water changes. Awesome!Hopefully one day we will be able to afford an home in-line distiller which would provide distilled water throughout our home. But until then... we will be using these Mophorn/s.So far, these unit have been totally reliable, they are well constructed, and it appears that they will be around for some time.Thanks Mophorn

I have to use a CPAP at night, and have for many years. The device has a built in humidifier, but I never bothered to put water in it. My doctor told me that I needed to start using it to prevent nasal irritation in the winter. I started using it but unfortunately, the well water causes it to develop scale quite quickly.The solution is to use distilled water since all the minerals are removed. This unit is perfect for that. You just fill it with water from the tap, put the top on, and plug it in. In a few hours, it has filled the glass pot with pure distilled water. The unit is easy to wash out when done.There is no problem with scale in the CPAP anymore, I also use the water for making coffee.Distilling water may sound complex, but this unit makes it very easy. It will pay for itself pretty quickly especially since I don't need to use bottled water in the coffee machine anymore.

Get this one. I researched these countertop distillers to get the best. This model is stainless steel, has an adjustable temperature setting, compartment for a charcoal filter inline with the output flow, and came with a glass carafe (not plastic). What a convenience not to have run out and buy distilled water for my CPAP machine! I have read that it can also distill hand sanitizer-quality alcohol. Highly recommend this one!

The supplied power lead and adaptor does not have an earth connection. I measured the voltage present on the outside of the unit at 83 volts. This is a major safety issue and i would suggest that anyone who purchases this item buys a new kettle lead that has a proper earth connection prior to use.

The still is perfect for my needs. This unit cost half of what a paid for the prior unit. It came with a glass carafe, charcoal filters and a jar of hard water cleaner. The unit is fast, providing distilled water in just a few hours. I love the fact that I can adjust the temperature as needed. The only hiccup I had was when applying the handle to the carafe. It took me a while to figure out the clamps. I am well pleased with this purchase. - Kai Jones

This was very easy to set up and to use. I especially like the temperature selection capability. All other brands seem to be on or off, they run at maximum temperature. At first I thought it was malfunctioning, when it shut off in mid-run, but I realize it _overs at the set temperature, cycling power on its own. Once you get used to it, it is a nice feature.
