What I like about these is that the cord you are protecting is inserted by raising the hinged flap (yellow) on top. The ones if purchased last time worked great, but you had to capture the cord underneath. Not really a problem, but this is even easier. All good.

They do not stay in place when someone drives over them. If you have multiples put together you need to plan on putting some sort of ridged piping in one of the two channels or they will come apart and end up damaged when driven over.

Yes, initially they smell strongly of rubber, but that is what they are made of! We are using for some wires and hoses across a shop floor and these were less expensive, but still functional. I think they compare well with some of the name brands that are 2x or more in cost.We just bought a second set.

I purchased these to protect my RV shore power cable and fresh water hose while my RV is parked and powered up in my driveway. These offer the protection I was looking for. A contractor has been working in my driveway and has the need for driving a small tractor up and down the drive. These covers easliy handle the tractor weight, even when the bucket is filled with stone for a retaining wall. I would recommend these to anyone with the need for protecting cables/hoses from vehicle traffic.

Very robust, work well. All six of mine (I bought two packs of three) had no system for holding in the metal rod that acts as a hinge, so every time I pick one up the rod falls out. I ended up putting plugs of blu-tac in each end of the channel that the rod sit in. Other than that very impressed.

The item works great to protect my pipes going across the driveway. I would give it 5 stars but the cover for the pipes on the top of the speed bump do not click shut so they tend to open once in awhile.

I own a small sound and lighting company and have been searching for cable protectors when doing festivals cause people and kids are horrible about tripping over my snake (Ethernet cable) and electrical cord to the sound tent. I purchased these to help control that and reading the description I was a little leary of the product as i figured it would just be some lightweight product that would not last one show. So, when they came in, my opinion was completely changed. this 3 pack is 42lbs (says the shipping label) and i believe it. Solid HARD Rubber and these things are not going to fall apart. I think these things will end up outlasting me. I totally believe a car or tractor could drive over these and not be hurt or damage my cables. I did only give it a 4 star rating BECAUSE the long metal pin that holds the cover slides out very easy. I fixed this by putting hot glue on each side of the hole and it seems to be doing great. I ordered 4 more packs of these and trying to figure out how i can get 5 more packs. I have a show this weekend and i will try to get some pictures and post of them in use.
