Reviewing my new Happybuy 5" Accu Lock Vise. Vise arrived in a sturdy cardboard box partially filled with styrofoam surrounds, box was a little beat up but that's just from the shear weight of the vise and not having a styrofoam top liner (which should be included, that would have prevented all the shifting around in transport).Measurements (which everyone wanted to know) are as follows: 14 3/4" long without handle attached. 7 1/4" wide base flange to flange tips. 4 3/16" tall, 5" jaws, a big 5 7/8" max jaw opening (the ad only claims 5"), heavy 3/4" dia lead screw, 1 9/16" jaw height, 6 1/4" center to center base bolt down holes and a stout 36 pounds total.This is a very nice vise for the money. It arrived pretty clean (no metal shavings) with a very light coating of clear oil, all milled edges are razor sharp, crisp and very flat and smooth, the painted casting areas are nice with only a few sharp jagged spots. The paint job is great with a nice blue-green hammered look. The bag of included hardware is as others say a bit on the cheap side but that's not a big deal to upgrade and replace yourself.I spent about 3 hours cleaning, scraping, filing, sanding and oiling the vise. The entire inside lenght of both ways had some paint overspray on them that kept the jaws from moving easily. The two square cutouts up front had some razor sharp jagged edges that needed to be hand filed down to avoid seriously cutting yourself on. The entire bottom edge is also very sharp which I lightly filed and sanded back to avoid cuts as well. A very light coating of oil was applied to all bear metal surfaces to prevent rusting. I can turn the vise with just my fingers now without having to use the handle, which was impossible before fine tuning it up.I'm a serious diy guy and not a professional machinist so I'm not using this vise on a mill of any kind. I'm adding it to my big floor drill press to drill metals, plastics, woods, etc (I'm not using my drill press as a mill either, as it's not designed for side to side loading and don't recommend doing it).Overall this is a well machined heavy vise that should last forever if taken care of. I highly recommend it to a do it yourself person, not sure if it would fit the bill for a professional machinist or not. Rating it I deducted 1 star because of the amount of effort needed to be put into it. Four uploaded photos are attached. Hope this review helps you out.

I did a lot of research and looking around before I settled on this particular vise. I tend to put a lot of credit into the reviews that others write about their experience with products that I am interested in. I start with the star ratings and the number of reviews a product has received before moving on to the written reviews. True... this vise didn't have as many reviews as I typically like to see but I checked it out none the less.When I first opened the package the first thing that I noticed and thought was kind of odd was the fact that they only put packing material on the top side and and did nothing to protect the all so important bottom of the vise. There was no apparent damage but certainly something they should consider going forward. I will give it a closer inspection to ensure there is no damage and for flatness before i secure it to my mill.Like others have said, this thing is a lot bigger than I expected, but since I have a full size mill that won't be a problem. If you have one of the bench top mills the size and weight of this vise could be an issue for you. The next thing I noticed is what I thought was perhaps a milled test block that had been accidentally left in the jaws. After I attached the handle and started cranking the jaws open to remove the block I realized that the block was the jaw when I saw the seam start to open. I clamped the jaws closed again and the seam vanished. The jaw faces are perfectly (as far as the human eye can see) machined.I have not yet attached it to my mill for a test run but I have no doubt that it will provide my desired outcome. Unless something unexpected and catastrophic happens when I put it in operation, and I seriously doubt that will happen, I would absolutely recommend this product.I am certain that one can find a much more precise vise, but for the home shop and at this price I think this is a very good buy.

Que ha cambiado con las que ten_?:El precio en esta es mayor que las que tenia.Pero su calidad est muy por encima.Muy buen ajuste.La presi_ es muy buena.Las mordazas trabajan bien y ajustadas en su apriete no tiene desplazamientos indeseados.De poner alguna pega _er_ que carece de un a marca en su punto cero pero se la he puesto con un simple punzonado.Viene equipadas con los amarres y tuercas con la posibilidad de trabajar con o sin rotaci_ (.como simple mordaza).

Little larger than I thought it would be but it does the job.

This is a beefy, heavy vise. I think it will do all I need it to. It's a little bit big for my bridgeport clone. If I were buying again, I'd probably buy the 5 inch instead of the 6 inch.

Very heavy vise, exceptional value.Like a previous reviewer I'm happy with all sides being ground and unpainted, exposing the quality of the casting. As with any bare metal it was shipped well greased to prevent rust, expect some cleaning and oiling. The lack of flange on the base is ideal for mounting in different orientations or for angled work. Jaws appear to align superbly and crank smoothly. I haven't measured anything with an indicator yet, but frankly this costs less than a reliable dial indicator.

For the price is a pretty good product, very sturdy and heavy dutythe product cannot be defined a high precision vise but also the price is not even close to a high precision product, so I can only say it worths the money spent.If you are use to do works that dont need an extreme precision like I usually do it is a very competitive product.It obviously dont have micrometric movements but you have to release the bolts, move it by hand and tighten them back to block the piece in position. sure is that once found the right position and closed the bolts it will remain in position while working.Knowing all the limitations inevitable for this price, I'm very pleased to have this kind of product on my millling machine

F_ das Geld geht die Qualit?t absolut in Ordnung und ich bin _er Gr??e und Gewicht wirklich _errascht.Backen schlie?en sauber und alles macht insgesamt einen sehr soliden Eindruck.Lieferung ebenfalls erstaunlich schnell, zwei Tage nach Bestellung schon in der Werkstatt. Absolut top!
