I am a NATE certified HVAC tech and have gone through schooling for oil burning heaters like this one, I am currently working for a camper van conversion company and install the higher end Webasto and Espar heaters, I also live full time in a van in the mountains of Colorado so I believe I am qualified to post a review of this heater.I purchased and installed one of these heaters in a 98 Chevy Suburvan about 4 months ago and as mentioned I professionally install the higher end heaters, and this HappyBuy heater is almost identical to Webasto and Espar in every aspect except for price. I was initially timid about purchasing a _hinese knockoff, especially at such a low cost. But I have been nothing but impressed with this heater. The heater is easy to install and there is a wealth of knowledge on Youtube for anyone who is inexperienced with this type of equipment. The _hermostat is relatively easy to use, the instruction manual is mostly gibberish but you can find most of the info you need online. I am a little bit bummed out that the _hermostat is not actually a thermostat, it does nothing to regulate the temperature, it_ either on or off, higher or lower heat. But I am impressed by the amount of control that the user has over the unit through the thermostat. $2,600 Espar Heaters require an $600 aftermarket _igh Altitude kit which just changes the oil pumping frequency to accommodate for less atmospheric Oxygen, however the HappyBuy Knock-Off heater allows the user to change the pump frequency through the thermostat, among many other cool features. Heads up, if you are gonna use it at higher altitudes, make sure your vehicle doesn_ get buried in snow to the point that it restricts the intake of combustion air, you want really good airflow underneath the vehicle at all times.I assumed that at less than $150, HappyBuy would eliminate some of the features that help the heater to operate safely and ensure longevity. But I was wrong, the heater goes through the exact same start up and shut down cycle as the higher end models, and the HappyBuy Heater has all of the key safety features that any oil or gas heating system should have. Be careful though, the keychain remote control works from much farther away than you would think, I have accidentally turned the heater on from over 150 meters away, while inside of a building, I am amazed at how powerful the signal is.I would personally recommend throwing away the cardboard duct tubing that comes with the heater, the high output temperature of the heater causes a powerful cardboard aroma to fill the vehicle, it doesn_ burn the cardboard, it just gets it warm enough to be stinky. I used 3 metal round ducting from the HomeDepot to avoid the _aking cardboard smell. One final complaint that I have with all of the diesel parking heaters, is the fact that they do not have an emergency kill switch. The heater works great. The installation instructions were a little hard to follow but there are some good videos available online. If you are using provided fuel tank be sure to drill hole in right place and that both seals are in right position. Mine hasn't leaked at all. I'm planning to install a fuel standpipe in truck diesel tank but the provided tank works fine. Also I'd be sure that the fuel fitting for tank is on good and snug. The LCD display does have a priming feature when you first power on to access hold the bottom two buttons simultaneously and then press up arrow to turn on. Also the temperature control is preset to control the volume fuel pump puts out not temperature. There is a temperature mode. To switch to it: while the unit is in the power off mode hold the top two keys of LCD panel then use up and down arrows to select temperature. Then power on unit. Now u can just use the arrows to select the desired temperature. The unit doesn't make much,noise. I actually can't hear it unless I'm within a few feet of it. Works great! Great buy!

Great heaters put one in utility she'd and camper.. work great buy a extra pump as backup.. have to cycle fuel every 6 months but great heaters

Fantastic unit! Super easy to install. Primed quickly. Heat output is insane! Way more efficient than the propane heater it replaced. Will buy this same one again if I ever do another camper.

Very nice little heater first and foremost! Wonderful customer service as well and unparalleled in this day and age might I add.I bought this heater to install in my Honda Acty kei van to help warm the engine up in the winter and make the rear passenger area more then bearable when driving in weather between 20-10 farenheit. The van has no insulation of any kind for the most part and gets pretty cold inside. It's also extremely compact and you'd be hard pressed to find any unused extra space large enough for a larger variant of these kinds of heaters. However this little 2kw unit is so wonderfully small I was able to squeeze it in with no modifications to the car itself. It puts out tons of warm air within about 2-4 minutes of hitting the on switch. Honestly for the money I payed for this it's already payed itself back. Extremely great value for the money I had payed for this! Add to the fact that this unit is pretty much a carbon copy of the german Webasto Air top 2000 heater inside and out for the most part. Good craftsmanship and looks like it will last.Photos are of new heater. Scuffs up top are from me setting it down upside down on my workbench which caused that and are entirely my fault alone.Now for the customer service aspect. Nowadays when you reach out to a customer service center you can expect an automated response and whatnot. That Is not the case with these fine folks. I had to reach out because of an issue I had with my heater initially. When my package arrived, believe it or not, it had arrived seemingly used and modified. The exhaust port was sooty, the casement was scuffed, there was a clipped wire of some sort and one of the largest heating fins appeared to have been snapped off and was entirely missing. I reached out to the customer service department who represents this product and I got a response back within the day! From a very helpful lady named Emmy. I explained to her what my issue was and sent over some photos to prove the issues I had on my hands and she more then gladly worked out a solution for me. They sent me over a whole brand new unit, free of charges of any sort and even CALLED me, out of the blue, to make tripple sure that the item arrived on time, safely in one piece and that I was satisfied. Very nice people, both in the head offices and the rep team in California. I cannot sing enough praises about them. It's a pleasent surprise and a nice change of pace from the usual automation of things.Thanks again happybuy!
