very sturdy and the blade is sharp. only negative is the rope is to short to use when expended

Good value and sharp blade. Very flexible when extended to 75% of max length and hard to control. Good for trimming soft tissue limbs like the flowers on my Queen palm tree 25' tall. Not good for hard wood. Great alternative to the high end Silky saw. Good for my needs.

The saw blade went right through the wood with ease. And as the saw blade can be used without the pole, it is great for up close work on the ground.However, the poorly made extension pole lost a little, unattached piece of plastic and now the pole won't lock into position.

Long, aka high, limb cutters are tricky choices. After paying $3,000 plus for pro tree trimming to open up sunlight to lawns and flowers, spring growth encroached again. Maybe a dozen high 1 to 3" branches needed to be cut. Before the pros set up ropes and mountain climbing gear to make segmented cuts protecting our home.Wasn't sure if 24' cutter length was enough. It is! My question was $100 or $300 for the Japanese "quality"? Went with $100 and crossed fingers. Yes, this did/does the cuts. Be serious here friends 24' segmented cutters are difficult to make strong and within price range.Extended you should be gentle and careful not to over stress using smooth vertical pole cutting strokes. If you get off vertical and push/pull forcefully the segments will bend with stress. Some cuts take time, take breaks, don't get anxious give it long slow strokes and let the blade work it's way through. BTW, those blade stops at it's ends very helpful keeping cutter from slipping at end strokes, long and smooth.Way cheaper and much more convenient than our pro trimmers. Those guys worked long and hard and potentially dangerous. That's as "blue collar, as it gets, LOL

I have to say that I expected that this product would work but what I did not expect is that it would work really well I was able to cut down tree branches the size of my leg and larger and branches that were really high up and this tool actually got stuck at one point in time because of my own mistake but I was able to wiggle it out and pull it through and it came loose and continued cutting and the whole thing stayed together which was incredibly impressive I would definitely recommend this to anybody looking to trim down some branches because this is currently saving me lots of money as I do not have to call a company to come in and trim branches for me that I can now do on my own. GM

Item is light weight and works as described. Pole is heavy duty and screws together firmly and does not bend. Pull on the rope and easily slice through 1"-1.5" branches. Saw blade attachment makes quick work of thicker branches. Overall nice product for the price!
