The best vise for drill presses I ever purchased. I would think great for milling machines also.
Nodular Cast Iron 160 mm
I was looking for a heavy-duty vice, easy to handle and set. This hit the mark right on the nose. Big size for holding larger pieces of steel, square tubing, pipe and more. Very heavy duty, very easy to adjust and bolt in place. No problems at all. Well worth the price and works great.

6 inch milling vice
Nodular Cast Iron 160 mm
Arrived very quickly, well packed. Very strongly built considering low price. Used for a week of continuous milling and never slipped once. Overkill for my Chester 626 mill I hadn't realised how big it was! Delighted with it except for the handle which was a little oversize and was marking the hexagon shaft. However the remedy was to substitute handle for a spanner. It still rates 11 out of 10 for me.

excellent value
Nodular Cast Iron 160 mm
ok so it's not the best available but that said you have to consider what you get for your money and that is a perfectly adequate tool for the home workshop. Needed a good clean before use and the odd bit of deburring but hey look at the price

TAKE IT APART AND CLEAN IT FIRST
Nodular Cast Iron 160 mm
Absolutely, clean it out before using it. The insides of the castings were full of grinding dust, sand, slag, shavings, you name it. You'll want to know how to clean it anyways. For the cost I'm totally fine with some de-burring and cleaning. The total runout of the ways was .0025 and in the most often used area was only .0005 side to side. The screw actually has a thrust bearing and the jaws seem to be pretty square. Repeatability has been totally acceptable for me. The sliding jaw has had a tiny bit of push to the left when clamping, but we're talking very small. I only notice when clamping stacks of tabs to square up the ends. An excellent vise for the cost. Just ignore the weird blue paint job.

Great value
Nodular Cast Iron 160 mm
Using the 4in vise on a smithy Midas 1220. It fits the slide perfectly from side to side and must be bolted at the cross keyways. I rated the product on it's cost, and it showed up with only a mild cleanup needed. It will surely give years of dependable service. It arrived quite fast, and while packaging was a bit lacking, there was no damage to it. It is a big chunk of metal after all

Highly recommend if you're on a budget
Nodular Cast Iron 160 mm
For a home shop this vice is well worth the price. It is accurate and well made. Only thing is the edges could be stoned before use since some are sharp.
