Received the wrong vise on the first shipment, they did get it exchanged for the correct one. Both shipments were on time. I was disappointed with receiving the wrong one but the did correct it without any issues.

I did a lot of research and looking around before I settled on this particular vise. I tend to put a lot of credit into the reviews that others write about their experience with products that I am interested in. I start with the star ratings and the number of reviews a product has received before moving on to the written reviews. True... this vise didn't have as many reviews as I typically like to see but I checked it out none the less.When I first opened the package the first thing that I noticed and thought was kind of odd was the fact that they only put packing material on the top side and and did nothing to protect the all so important bottom of the vise. There was no apparent damage but certainly something they should consider going forward. I will give it a closer inspection to ensure there is no damage and for flatness before i secure it to my mill.Like others have said, this thing is a lot bigger than I expected, but since I have a full size mill that won't be a problem. If you have one of the bench top mills the size and weight of this vise could be an issue for you. The next thing I noticed is what I thought was perhaps a milled test block that had been accidentally left in the jaws. After I attached the handle and started cranking the jaws open to remove the block I realized that the block was the jaw when I saw the seam start to open. I clamped the jaws closed again and the seam vanished. The jaw faces are perfectly (as far as the human eye can see) machined.I have not yet attached it to my mill for a test run but I have no doubt that it will provide my desired outcome. Unless something unexpected and catastrophic happens when I put it in operation, and I seriously doubt that will happen, I would absolutely recommend this product.I am certain that one can find a much more precise vise, but for the home shop and at this price I think this is a very good buy.

Ein Super Schraubstock zum Waaahhhhnnnsinns Preis. Standard Schraubst?cke kosten mehr. Mir ist klar das es sich um ein Produkt aus dem Land der aufgehenden Sonne handelt, aber ich bin nicht in der Lage f_ gebrauchte oder auch neue R?hm Schraubst?cke das vielfache von dem Geld auszugeben was dieser hier kostet. Zudem bietet er doch mit dem 360 grad Fu? und der Ordentlichen Backenbreite alles was ich brauche um zu Fr??en oder nur mal kurz was zu bohren. Stabilit?t und Spiel der Einzelnen Komponenten l?sst keine W_sche offen. Gut der Spannhebel ist Mist aber da hab ich mit ner 17er Nu? und nem St_k Flachstahl schon einen entsprechenden brauchbaren gebaut. Meine Hochachtung so viel Schraubstock f_ nen echt kleinen Kurs

I had the idea this 6" vise was 14" long- it is 16.25" long. That's ok, I made room. The quality in machining was much better than I expected. You'll notice in the pics, you can't even see the seam in the jaws with the vise closed. I tested the jaws and the best I could get was an accuracy of .0015". Horizontally, it was dead on at .0005". They didn't use the stronger acme thread on these vises. It has a more fine deep thread I don't recognize, which is good for torgue, but not as strong as an acme thread. I did bear down on clamping with no bad effects and the vise held the part very well and I was confident with it. The screw has exposed threads with the vise opened over 4.5", so I made a metal plate to cover the screw to help keep chips out and the threads clean. (See pic). The total jaw opening is 6-3/8". The total jaw width is 6-3/8". The Jaw height is 1.75". The base is over 8" wide and 16.25" long. From the bottom of the base to the bottom of the jaws is 2-7/8". Even for it's size on my mill, it will function just fine for certain jobs, but I'm ordering the 4" vise for better reach on smaller work, as my 3" vise is too limited for what i do. I made a spin handle for it, but it operates very smoothly even by turning with the fingers. I am satisfied. A well made vise for the price. It weighs over 50 lbs.

Using the 4in vise on a smithy Midas 1220. It fits the slide perfectly from side to side and must be bolted at the cross keyways. I rated the product on it's cost, and it showed up with only a mild cleanup needed. It will surely give years of dependable service.It arrived quite fast, and while packaging was a bit lacking, there was no damage to it. It is a big chunk of metal after all

It is very nice to be used with any my milking machine. I have a small milking machine and the height of this vise slightly limits my space to work but I am still very happy with its quality.

Good quality vise for the money. Swivel works well. Overall great product. Would recommend.

First off I ordered a 3 inch and a set of 3 inch precision parallels got my parallels and then came the vise, But it's a 4 inch.It would have been nice to get what I wanted but I need it Now so I will keep it. Seems good quality yes there are some very sharp edges but it works smoothly out of the box,I can screw it out and all the way in with my fingers No wrench so Happy for that.

I bought this to use with a mini mill. When I bought it I was concerned that it may be a little loose or sloppy. But when I received it and put it on the mill, it iwas better than I thought it would be. It is tight and accurate and has adjustments for tightness. All the surfaces on the vise are nice too. I previously had a large 6" vise of a different brand on a larger mill, but wanted something small for the mini mill.

Mine arrived ready to work with just a tiny amount of clean up. Vise was smooth operating, and very clean appearance. The bottom of the one I got is very flat, like wringing flat. Keyways are 14mm. Jaws open to 4-7/8" plus you can move the rear insert to the back of the movable jaw for a total of 8-15/16" clamping. The keys provided look to be MIM parts but they work and you can always make 1/2" or 5/8" keys if you need to. Crazy good value. A++++++++++++. Oh, yeah, the holes on my table are 5-3/8" apart and the vise bolted down perfect with 1/2" bolts.Bought another vise. This one in 6 inch (160 mm) size. Super happy with this one too. Jaws open to 163 mm and are 45 mm deep. Jaw inserts were ground on the vise and mate perfectly. You cannot see the joint when closed. I am sure I will if I remove them and don't put them back the same way however. Paint is great, Inside edges of bed are real sharp, as ground. May take a stone to them, or not. Great value.
