I purchased two of the 3"" vises for holding longer parts on my small mill; these were perfect since they're pretty lite, and the footprint on the 3"" is minimal. I just finished flycutting my first parts and everything came out within 0.0015"" and that's REALLY close when you consider the inaccuracies built into the mill. The coating on the base is a pretty flaky, and so far it has chipped when tightening the vises to the table; not a big deal, but nicer units have a ground surface in that spot. When I have more time I may mill it clean.I don't think I will use one of these as my primary work-holding when I'm not making long stuff, but they are an amazing value, especially when considering the Prime status.
