***Edit: I bought it at _139, and for that price it is a good buy and worth the money. The day after I wrote this review, the price jumped up to _399. I would not recommend it at this higher price, unless you really don't care about the cost.Original review...I have a (heavily modified) cheap Chinese K40 (40W) laser cutter. I used to have the standard setup of a reservoir of water and a fish pond pump. This setup worked OK-ish for small running times, but if I wanted to cut for more than 15 minutes or so, the water temperature would rise and the cutting efficiency would fall. Finally, I invested in this chiller. A little apprehensive at first as it is clearly another Chinese import; the manual is in less than straightforward English and the plug comes with a converter to allow you to plug it into a normal UK mains socket.Thankfully, you really don't need the manual, and the mains adapter is perfectly adequate.I didn't write a review until I'd actually used this for a few months.I'm now happy to say that I'm really, really pleased with it! It does exactly what it is supposed to.Today, I ran the cutter flat out for about an hour, and although the temperature did creep up a little (about 2C), that **might** have been affected by a fluctuations in the ambient room temperature, but even if not, it is markedly better than my previous cooling solution. For a 40W laser cutter, this is a good solution - I recommend it.
