It works!
The unit was complete and seemed of decent quality for the price. The manual is absolutely worthless...obviously a translation issue. Not sure why these companies don't pay to have it translated properly. YouTube is your friend....The install is fairly straightforward once you get the gist of it. Took forever to install the first time but if you know what you are doing it wouldn't take more than an hour. The digital screen display is fairly sophisticated and shows alot of helpful info but again....a challenge to figure out how to use it. Again Youtube. Celsius readings only so you will need a cheat sheet if you are from the US.

A good heater for my short bus to RV conversion
Follow directions and it's a piece of cake to install. I feel that this heater is a good value and will work perfectly in my RV. I had the opportunity to see how it preformed and was not dissapointed in the results. I was comfortable all night.

Very good heater and support.
I installed this unit and worked fine for a few days then stopped heating for some unknown reason. I contacted customer service who replied promptly and worked with me to troubleshoot the problem. After some work and not solving it, they sent a replacement unit promptly within days (not weeks or months).Heats great, very low fuel usage and wonderful customer service.

This thing ROCKS!
Bought this back in October of 2019 for an install into my 2004 Sprinter Van conversion and used it constantly through out the winter. I waited until now (april 2020) to give thing a full review.I was soo hesitant to buy this but at the price and after lots of youtube videos and reviews read I ordered it. It was as expected the quality of workmanship isn't like an Espar but it works and it works well. The install was pretty easy as I had watched enough YouTube videos that I didnt even look at the horribly written instructions. The only thing that I screwed up on was a very important aspect of the exhaust. The exhaust tube MUST slope away from the unit all the way to the end.I installed under the front seat of my Sprinter and initially had the exhaust go down and back a little but that pretty much had the exhaust exit under the side sliding door. So I bought two extensions to get it more to the back of the van so I did not smell it. To do this the exhaust pipe ened up being level all the way back. Well after 3 months of use and most of it in the dry west I started to have issues once I got back to the moist east coast. First it had a worse smell to the exhaust than normal. And then the coldest night of my 7000 mile trip (3 degrees) it stopped working. After lots more youtube videos I went down and disconnected the exhaust extensions and out came a ton of water and diesel fuel. After that it worked like a charm. To work around this I drilled a drain hole in the muffler so I could get the exhaust to the rear of the vehicle and still allowing it to drain off condensation of any excess fuel from start up.That tip will save you from climbing around under the van in 3 degrees!. Other than that this thing pretty much ran 24/7 with no issues. A few times I ran it out of fuel as the pick up tube in the sprinter fuel tank was set so if you went below 1/4 tank it would suck air. Keeps you from burning all your fuel ;)The sprinter was sprayed with insulation ceiling, walls and floor, the vent coming from under the seat blew the hot air along the floor and it kept the sprinter VERY comfy at all times. Even when it was 3 degrees outside the van interior stayed at what ever temp I wanted it to. When it was above 45 I had to open the ceiling hood vent and turn the fan on so it would not be too hot.The air temp at low was pushing out 150 degrees, at high it would push out close to 200 degree air. You must understand that the system once fired up can not shut down when it reaches interior set temp. It has to continue burning as diesel needs the proper furnace temp to burn correctly. Its not a propane on and off system. So when it goes into what I call idle the fan gets low and the furnace turns down the heat as low as possible. You can hear the little fuel pump tick tick tick slowly. When the temp in the van starts to drop the tick tick tick ramps up and the heater fan kicks on high. And man does it blow some heat!At first the tick tick got on my nerves but after a

Very warm compact and easy to use.
I bought this little diesel heater for a camping trip and it came mostly assembled. Just had to run the exhaust and intake tubes off the bottom. This gets very warm and seems like it is going to do the job nicely. The quality is about what you would expect for a heater at this price point. I look forward to using it for many years. Thanks, Chris Atkinson

A lot of heat for not a lot of money.
This little heater kicks out plenty of heat and burns very little fuel. It was easy to install and the simple control works perfectly. It takes a couple of minutes to start up & stabilize or cool down upon shutting off but it works very well for the money. Time will tell how well it holds up but after 2 months of continuous use it_ still working great.

Fits Espar D4 parts, easy to install and maintain
I gutted, insulated, and built my grand caravan into a small camper. This heater sits under the bed in the rear stow n go bucket. I mounted the diesel tank to the side, by the tailight. After about a month of use a few days a week, the thing started spewing white smoke out the exhaust AND the intake AND into the cabin. This is not uncommon and a fairly simple fix. I took apart the three pieces and cleaned them with kerosene. The glow plug screen (sits around glow plug, fuel passes through) and the thermal gasket (sealing the burn chamber) both had to be replaced. Some friends told me to try Espar. I searched for dealers (2-3 in a Las Vegas size city) and went to one. Turned out that the parts for the Espar D4 fit this heater. You cannot use a self made gasket sheet from a car parts store, the material will not withstand the heat.ProsEasy to installSimple design, easy to maintainKnock off of espar D4, easy to find partsSometimes too hot at 1.2kw (lowest) (in Wisconsin winter)Uses very little fuelUses little electricity after start up (drops ~0.2V)I run mine off a small solar battery bank that is occasionally connected to the alternator while driving. Do not drive with the heater running.ConsThe fuel pump... thunk... thunk... all nightComes with crap gasket and glow plug screen that burn out quickUses what I think is ~120w during startup cycle for ten minutes, which takes longer when frigid (~0 F) or sometimes not at all (about -20 F)
