Make sure you screw the lengths correctly first time
Carolyn Keigley worked for me, though I use it for a different purpose. I trim a snow cornice off my high roof each storm.

Works well if you know the tricks
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. We bought an electric pole saw to easily cut lower and thick branches, this hand pole saw is still useful with its super long reach. Lightweight and easy to use. Tips:1.Overlap: don't extend the pole to its full capacity. Always leave an overlap of 10-15cm for each segments to keep it stable.2. Angle: keep an angle of around 60 degrees to leverage the weight of the blade to do the work. If the angle is too flat, it is hard to cut into the branch. If the angle is too upright, you get tired easily. The blade end and inertia help too.3. Strength: cut with dexterity instead of brute force. The blade is elastic yet sharp.

very good pole saw
It is a really light weight saw. It works to trim off the branches that are high. The strokes need to be straight and steady, otherwise it may get stuck. Get your techniques right and it should work as a trimmer.Highly recommended.

Anyone can use it!
This thing is great it paid for itself the first time I used it I'm a 5'2 woman and it was a breeze to trim my palm trees! My palms are close to livewires and there was no bouncing while sawing with this, unlike a power polesaw, and light as can be!

Manual Pruner
Good product. Comes in a nice storage bag. It is a bit hard to handle when used at full height.

I expect many years of happy use. Thanks.
Awesome product. Light weight, blade thickness & length just right, telescoping handle makes it highly maneuverable.

Thankful for this tool.
I received this product yesterday afternoon and got it assembled. Had to use a rubber mallet to tap the head dorm on the pole to align the holes to get the bolt in, tightened nicely. Got right to work on the huge oak tree in my front yard. Cut out many dead limbs 3 to over 6 in diameter. Some 20 feet or more from the ground. Learned to extend the lower larger segments of the pole first because they are sturdier. I am a woman of post retirement age with minimal upper body strength and arthritis everywhere. I wouldn_ say it was easy, but doable, and very satisfying to accomplish this on my own. And I think the tree would thank me for restoring its beauty. This saw has many projects ahead, pine tree, many palms and 2 more oaks. I read in several reviews that it came with a pruning head, mine did not. Came as pictured and described. Paid for itself in one afternoon.

This pole saw is great!
It is a good product. Let the weight of gravity do the work when sawing, and it should not bend or break. Please don_ force it when sawing, and don_ extend the pole out to the max to make sure it doesn_ bend at the joints. It you do this, the pole saw will work great!

Low price and works well
This pole saw is definitely long enough. I had to trim several very tall oak trees down the hill in front of my house and this saw handled it very well. The saw blade is very aggressive on green branches. Even branches as thick as 6" came down easily. The curve of the blade and the hook at the end helped a lot in doing that. The blade is very flexible. Several times I had the blade pinched as the branch is being cut and I bent the blade severely in trying to dislodge it. I thought for sure it was going to snap off the handle. But that didn't happen and once dislodged, the blade sprang back to the original shape. I extended the pole to about 80% of the maximum at one point. It became heavy and unwieldy at that length. But that is to be expected. The only negative I encountered has to do with the 2 spongy yellow grips on the handle. They are too flimsy and ripped to shreds after just a few minutes of use. But the saw functions just fine without them.
