This is a very easy ring to put together. The overall design is ideal for any pit. The one con to this is if the ring gets scratched or has any paint chip, it instantly starts to rust.
I love my fire pit ring, I used 5 rows of block and filled the bottom with loose stone for drainage. So far we have only had 2 fires in it, and it seems to hold up very well.
We used it for a liner at.bottom of our fire pit. Worked best this way.
The pieces did not fit perfectly together and there were some weld spots I had to grind off. For our purpose it worked well. If it was to be used in an exposed application I would not have kept it.
This is solid steel and very hefty. It bolted together easily and it_ been in use for 4 or 5 fires. One or 2 sections must have missed powder coating because it shows a little rust. Other than that I_ very happy with my purchase!
