I was looking for a wort chiller and came across this product. I ordered on a whim not really knowing what exactly I needed. The dimensions were smaller than I had wanted so I wasn't sure if the properties would be sufficient to cool boiling wort to the desired temp. The description was slightly incorrect (number of plates) so again I wasn't quite sure what to expect.On arrival the packaging looks a little rough around the edges and it took it's time but the product itself looks the part. The ports are perfect being male 1/2" and 3/4" NPT which are ideal for brewing and garden hose connections respectively.As for performance I was amazed to see boiling liquid being cooled to a mere 25 Deg C in an instant. Maybe a bigger size or the addition of more plates might see the liquid cooled slightly more but for my needs I couldn't ask for more.

It looks like its well made. It suits me well for my purposes.

This plate chiller is used for my 10 gallon brewing system. I have a couple of pumps I use to run water and wort through the chiller. It gets 10+ gallons of boiling wort to under 100 degrees in about 15 or 20 mins, then takes another 10 or 15 to get under 80, mostly due to hot TX water and not having enough ice on hand. But overall the chiller does a decent job of transferring the heat. I just wish the water ports were fitted for garden hose. Not a big deal, I just hooked up some quick disconnects and bought an adapter for my garden hose. Also, I_ like the brackets to be a little longer as they seem to bend slightly trying to cinch them down- again though nbd.
