Love this sap pan for the money. Well constructed welded pan. Heavier gauge SS was used. Filled with water right away and zero leaks. I would have spent twice as much locally and gotten thinner metal with silver soldered corners.

I_ using this product to boil maple tree sap , evaporating water out of the sap, leaving behind the sugars to create natural and organic maple syrup and candies.The pan works great for the value, more sturdy than I expected, no dents or dings, it cleans easy and evaporates maple sap relatively quickly because of its size.

Works well, wish there were handles. I'm fine that it's not a divided pan, and I bought my own ball valve based upon other people's suggestions. I don't know that the ball valve was bad but I didn't want to chance it. I think the instructions are crazy as I think I remember they suggested using 7 in of sap in the pan. 1 to 2 in is fine.
