I am new to blacksmithing. I bought this anvil due to great price. I was not really expecting much. I have been presently surprised. Great anvil. Does not ding like I expected. Have really enjoyed the anvil. Would definitely recommend!

Its perfect for knife making. Good weight and shape. 2.5lb hammer works great. Castings are not perfect, but works.

it looks the same as the picture, is larger than i imagined it would be, and got here fast. this thing is tough. i've beat on it, hammered ball bearings flat, automotive parts, tool steel, nothing has left a mark on it. i'm very happy with this anvil. I cant imagine needing anything more from an anvil unless you are a real, really real master blacksmith.. even then i think it would suit your small/ midsize jobs well.
