This has an amazing sound and so easy to play..a quality instrument for any age.

I ordered this 10 brown steel drum as a Christmas gift for my 13 yr old daughter. Before I wrapped it, I tried it out. What an incredibly beautiful sound. I ordered this particular 11 note drum because it was tuned to D major. It exceeded what I expected & I cannot wait for my daughter to open it on Christmas morning. I know I will also be enjoying playing it along with her. I definitely recommend this item & seller to others.

Got this for our 2 1/2 year old granddaughter who is a budding percussionist. She loves it. And even though her style at this age is anything but soft and gentle, the inherent harmoniousness (is that a word?) of this instrument makes her whaling on it very easy on the ears. And that also attests to the durability of the mallets. Bottom line: appropriate for all ages and styles of playing, well made, and durable. Also good customer service. First order was shipped to wrong address. Replacement was on its way to us the very next day. ??

This is a great beginner steel tongue drum. I bought it as a gift for my husband. It came right on time as expected and the case it comes in is nice. My only issue is this drum is missing 2 notes from the scale and the boom it came with has notes this drum can't play. Also, the index of songs does not match what is in the book, so updating the book that comes with the drum to only include songs this drum is capable of playing would be great. Thanks, Sarah B

This drum is idea to play Chinese ancient music or other spiritual music. And it's easy to carry aroundTrue you don't get all 7 notes in western music (Chinese music use 5 note+) but bear in mind, this is a drum we are talking about, most drum can't even make different notes.My daughter love it, and the sound is beautiful, even when a beginner learning how to play, it's not that annoying

Love it, really nice sound, would bee great for sound healing. I wanted it for myself and to play soft sounds for imminent baby and its great for my toddler to play too. Comes with a good quality sturdy carry bag.
