Easy to use
Some of the pins wouldn't press together, and required several attempts. But in the process of making well over 100 pins so far, I think I only had to discard 6. Really not that bad. I found that if I tried again, most of them would fit together. The biggest annoyance so far is that I have had to discard more of the small plastic covers (they get crimped in the first attempt, and rarely will succeed with a second attempt).I love the machine overall, and maybe the issue is me being new at button making. I'm not sure. I would recommend this machine. :)

Good but need additional parts for different size buttons
Would be better if it had additional button sizes for this price.

Works great for me
I got this button press and kit to make some buttons for my daughters school and to make some cosplay buttons. The machine works great!I have probably made 150 buttons and I've only had maybe 5 failures? And they were all user error or not pushing down hard enough *see belowI think it's mostly technique that yields good buttons. One important thing to do is to use a good template for your paper graphics, it should be about the same size as the mylar. If you make the paper design too small, it won't fold under the button correctly. I made mine 40mm in diameter for the 32mm button machine and it works great.Tips: Make sure you only use regular photocopy or laser paper. Don't use thicker paper stock. Make sure you only have one clear piece of mylar on top, not two. Static can make them stick together. Press down all the way on the lever, slowly and firmly. Doing it fast yields errors. When I press down on the backing with the safety pin, there's a noticeable point where the press stops, but then you can press it further. Press down ALL THE WAY to ensure a good tight seal.Good luck!

MAKES A QUALITY BUTTON
This was purchased to use at a fund raiser and it did a great job for us. You can make any kind of statement on a button and they sell pretty well. The unit make s it simple to produce.

Making buttons is one of my favorite activities!
This is a review by my 10 year old son. It_ very easy to use. All you got to do is put a few pieces together, and then once your done you have to push the lever all the way down. If you don_, your button will be broken. It_ a lot of money but I bought the $139 one and it gave you a lot of buttons to make. You can print a design, draw a picture, use stickers, or a stamp. This is a cool machine that I use with my friends. I highly recommend!

Not bad. But...
Great product. My only concern is refills products seems way too expensive. Might as well buy a new machine for the same price.
