So this was a bit weird at the beginning. It_ easy to assemble and pretty straight to the point. I was having issues with the metal backing being squished too much when pressing the pin-back to it. Little puckers in the metal were left and it was almost perfect but the metal was just too puckered and sticking out at the edge.My dad messed with the heights of the two dies and adjusted them both. He raised them/ loosened them ever so slightly.I then did some research again on this listing and saw that the weight of the paper you_e using is important. I was using only random pieces of paper or just a thin piece of cotton fabric with printer paper. This was WAY too light and thin, so when I would press the pin-back to the front of the button, it would over squash the metal backing and leave the pucker sticking out.I was able to figure out how to make it work. Which is great because I was scared to not be able to use the machine. I wouldn_ suggest messing with the springs and dies too much, but it_ what worked for me.The adjustments I made were simple so I_ glad I was able to figure out the machine to get It working. I attached some photos that show an example of the buttons before the adjustments, and the buttons after adjustments.Be patient with your press and try looking up videos/ info that my help you. I was super upset about the initial problems with it but after some research and trial, I got it to work for me.I love it so far and I_ so happy to be making buttons ????

We were looking for a machine to make goodies to hide/trade/giveaway in a local "spread kindness" rock painting group. Didn't want to spend a fortune, but needed something that wouldn't fall apart or break within the first few uses. This machine is GREAT! After having used it many times and producing a couple hundred buttons, I feel better about leaving an honest review.First off, the hole punch diameter for the 1.25" button is actually 1.629" in diameter -- which is nearly impossible to find - so we simply cut with scissors. The enclosed cutter is worthless. We used our household inkjet printer on tradition printer paper and it worked fabulously! We used a dab of glue stick to hold the paper in place on the metal to ensure that the image was stayed centered on the metal base. The pin backs are made from plastic and you have to be careful to snap off any "extra" bits from the casting process or your button will get stuck in the machine. Also be careful that you're only using ONE mylar cover -- as they tend to stick together and using more than one will ruin the button as well. In making over 250 buttons -- we've only experienced approximately 3-5% defect (either our own fault, or just didn't come together because of small flaws in materials). I'd say that's not too bad. No matter, I'm extremely happy with the investment!

I make fabric covered buttons with embroidery, and as long as I cut the circles correctly, this machine punches right every time! So quick, I've put out as many as 100 buttons per hour with this sturdy little machine! I cant wait to buy new parts for other sizes.

This button machine is a super cool thing! Honestly its so easy to use and really the only buttons that I have messed up on were user error or me trying to get the hang of it. The red paint job was a little wack but its okay, I think i'm painting something fun over it. Make sure to order a 1 1/4 circle hole punch with the machine, however, the paper cutter the machine includes broke on my first try with it. My little buttons are looking fantastic and it feels good to see people enjoying my small form of art.

This is a great machine. We make our own buttons for craft projects and our clients love them. There is a little learning curve to getting a perfect button, but once you figure it out, perfect buttons can be made quickly.

The instructions were not the best on setting this up but once we figured it out it's super easy to use. No issues at all. Love it. I'm using the buttons as promotional items and to sell. The possibilities are limitless!

Does what it needs to do! Need to line up with finger with working on a project, I just do this to make sure it presses correctly :)
