Controller screen burnt out in first five minutes now its useless !

Installed the fan to pull air from garage to attic, keeping the attic and garage cool. The idea works except the fan is unexpectedly loud. At the beginning the fan was attached to roof truss. Then the roof was acting like a drum, spread the noise over a good section of the house. Reworked to hang the fan using the supplied straps fixed that problem. The other problem is the fan noise following the duct to the garage. It’s loud. That’s why they sell mufflers to suppress the noise. That would cost another hundred.

Fast delivery and good performance, but much louder than advertised Delivery was quick and the airflow performance is perfectly fine. The fan has smooth and precise speed control, which I appreciate. However, the noise level is significantly higher than expected. It is in no way close to the advertised 45 dB. I measured more than 60 dB during operation, which is a substantial difference and makes the fan far from quiet. I don’t know whether my unit is faulty, but based on my experience it does not meet the stated noise specifications.

The fan works well, good speed control, reasonable noise (most of the noise in my case comes from the air duct), and easy settings. However, the product page used to state it was suitable for all temperatures, which is misleading. The manual, information that isn’t obvious until after purchase, shows a strict high-temperature limit. This makes it unsuitable for HVAC heating applications in winter. If Vevor offered a blank plug to replace the motor for off-season or heating use, it would be far more versatile. Works fine for cooling or ventilation, but not for winter heating ducts.

I picked up one of these fans due to its high airflow and rated static pressure rating of 300 Pascal's. The fan, as delivered, is only able to achieve 100 Pascal's of peak pressure, at which point the airflow drops by a factor of 10. I intended to use this with a filter as a low-noise fume extractor; but due to the very poor pressure handling (which I shouldn't be surprised at with a 68W power rating!) it's completely unsuitable for this application. In its intended use of home or small-space ventilation, with sufficient make-up air to maintain a sub-100 Pascal pressure differential: it does absolutely meet and exceed it's 800CFM rating. Had I used is strictly as designed: it's a pretty decent fan! For my purpose, the fan is rated incorrectly and this should be updated.

The fan seems to be working well. It is pretty noisy but other than that all good Ive got it set up in the basement for a radon exhaust fan

There is a constant hum that sounds like a stalled electric motor, but it does not change pitch with speed. I don't know if that's normal or not. It uses 70w/1.5A on high. Seems quiet otherwise.
