this was such a great buy!
This thing is a monster, it's big and heavy I did not expect it at all (look at the dimensions before buying this just to make sure) That being said, this was such a great buy!!!! I run a small handmade notebook bussines and I needed something to get straight, clean cuts, especially when I have large orders, it saves me hours of work! The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because you can't really see where the blade will cut, so slicing something in half is tricky.

Saving me $$$... wish I had bought it sooner!
As a paper crafter who makes card kits I was spending a lot of money having my paper cut professionally. I was looking for an alternative and this has worked really well for me. It can be accurate but it requires a bit of tweaking and checking but overall I_e been really happy with my purchase. It is very heavy, therefore sturdy, blade is sharp and can cut through A good stack of paper! The more I use it the more I am learning little tricks to make it work even better for my needs. Susan N.

VEVOR A3 Paper Guillotine - cuts paper and card well
The VEVOR A3 Paper Guillotine is a big and heavy paper trimmer and so make sure that you have space for it as its footprint is, unsurprisingly, much bigger than an A3 sheet of paper. So far I've used it to trim 48 page A5 booklets (24 sheets of 80 g/m paper) and A4 card (12 sheets of 160 g/m) and it slices through the paper easily without much pressure on the cutting handle and the cut edges are clean with no tearing. The cutter lock to hold up the blade when it is raised to position the paper to be cut works well but it does feel awkward to release the cutter lock with one hand and pull the cutter handle down at the same time with the other hand. It isn't difficult, it just feels awkward at the moment. I imagine it will become a more natural movement with use. Once the cutting handle begins to move you can release the cutter lock.Like most trimmers I have used it is essential to use the moveable paper guides to position the paper to ensure that the cut is in the right place. The moveable guide can twist when tightening and so ensure that the moveable guide is parallel to the guidelines marked on the base after tightening. It isn't difficult but just needs some care. I use a metal rule to check the measurements and to ensure that the guide is parallel to the cutting blade. It is also necessary to clamp the paper firmly using the pressing handle to stop the paper moving as the blade cuts the paper. As the pressing bar isn't very wide, as well as clamping the paper with the pressing bar, I also place a block on the paper to ensure that the sheets cannot move. The set screw, or bolt, that fixes the 'pressing handle' on to the guillotine was bent on the unit I purchased but I was able to buy a box of set screws from my local 'Screwfix' for a few pounds and, fortunately the threads of the threaded hole it screwed into weren't damaged and so I didn't have to return the guillotine. The instructions with the guillotine are on a double sided piece of A4 paper and are not very good! For example, this is a quote from the instructions - "The latest production, pressing paper tightly, easily cutting, and changing blade, The cutting rate is very high." You can work out what it means but should you have to. The instructions don't explain what the two plastic headed screws on the top of the unit are for but as the guillotine seems to be doing its job I haven't needed to find out what they are for yet!The instruction sheet states that the cutting capacity is 40mm but I haven't needed to trim that many sheets yet and so cannot confirm its capacity. At the other end of the scale I have had no problems trimming single sheets of card (160g/m) or paper (80g/m).Overall, I am pleased with the guillotine. If you're wondering why I haven't given the guillotine a five star rating, I have deducted a single star for the bent set screw and also because I haven't used it for long enough to know how long the blade will last. However, the instructions to change the blade, althoug

Taglierina

Big, heavy-duty paper cutter
This is one heavy-duty paper cutter, much more than I was expecting. But, I'm completely happy with it. It works well for whatever job I've done. But if you're looking for something portable, look elsewhere.

Great machine and a few tips from an artists perspective
I am a paper artist and require thousands of strips of paper for my art, so my opinion may differ from most using this as my end application is different. I have 5 different paper cutters all guillotine style and this is my first stack cutter. Can i say love????Generally i cut paper sheets one at a time, and in general i will spend a full day cutting to get 400 strips. So from my perspective, being able to accurately cut 50 strips at one time is a dream come true. I have had the thing for about 3 hours now and have cut over 7,000 strips of paper. That alone has saved me 137 hours of work! (Meaning the thing has already paid for itself.)Now for some tips, as i have read so many mixed reviews, and because of that it took me 6 months to decide to purchase this because of what I read in other reviews.ACCURACY:Your results are only going to be as good as your time put in. This is true with any tool or any piece of equipment. Take your time. If you are cutting multiple things in succession, pay VERY CLOSE ATTENTION to where you line your paper up on the board, and line it up exactly the same each time. The width of measurement line on any paper cutter are quite wide and if you line up to the outer edge of the line for one cut, the center of the line for the next cut and the inner edge of the line for the third cut, every single one is going to be sized differently. OCD comes in very handy here. Line it up on the exact same edge every time and you will have accurate results.PRESSUREOn the paper clamp pressure is so very important, when you think you have it tight enough, tighten it a little more. If you are concerned about the clamp leaving marks, add a cushion between the clamp and your paper. This could be as simple as a extra sheet or two of scrap paper or you could get some thin 2mm EVA foam and affix a strip of it to the metal clamp to act as a soft buffer between the metal and your paper. Think of it this way, its super hard to use a pair of scussors to cut 2 sheets of paper at once, because much paper has a slick texture that has a tendancy to want to slide. So getting plenty of pressure on a stack of multiple sheets of paper is absolutely necessary to keep everything in place while you cut.Use your left hand to hold the stack in position with adequate pressure then begin tightening the clamp to bring it to the surface, then use both hands to apply the final pressure.Dont be scared of it:It requires a strong swift single movement to bring the blade down completely. If you are gingerly about it, you risk causing errors, or having the lower edge not cut well (or possibly not cut at all). Use firm force to bring it down. Unlike a traditional guillotine cutter, this doesnt cut from top to bottom edge, the blade moves straight down from top to bottom of stack. The pressure dynamic is completely different.Things i suggest to modify the equipment itself:Remove the paper guide from the body of the machine, i attempted using it, and like every other paper
