I got this as an entry level wheel and it is perfect! It's a really nice size and it's very compact so it wont take over the room. It has both forward and backward spinning (which I disnt expect) so you can find the rotation direction that suits. And multiple speeds as you push down the pedal. The power level of the wheel isn't as good as a professional wheel but when you're starting out this wont be an issue at all.

My name is Maureen Mende. This wheel is great for ceramics artists that want to have their own potters wheel but do not buy one due to the cost. This wheel was inexpensive and works just fine for wheel throwing at home. When I set it up it did not work at first but my husband was able to determine the cause which was the belt was not in place. He was able to put it back on and it worked fine after that. The plastic bowl and legs are much thinner than other potters wheels that I have used in my Ceramics classes at the Junior College. The legs on the wheel were also too short for me to position my legs and my body correctly in front of the wheel so my husband built a wood platform to put under it to raise it up a few inches. He also put small wood around each leg to brace it and ensure it would not move when in use. These were easy solutions to the problems I encountered out of the box. I am using it daily and love it so I highly recommend it for ceramic artists who want a wheel but don't want to spend $1000.00 or more to buy one.

Used the wheel a fair bit now and really happy with it, it_ easy enough to use and perfect for learning on, it was supposed to come with a shaping tool kit which wasn_ in the box and never received it.

wow ! ordered the 21/6/21, the ordee stated delivery 8 to 31 july but arrived 22 june ! one day, the wheel looks absolutely ideal and sturdy im well impressed ! pottery was my fav school lesson yrs ago and i felt like taking it up for fun recently and this wheel looks strong, sturdy, a lovely lge wheel for throwing sml to lge items , i love it ! until i can afford a kiln im using air dry clay but with oven dry glaze it will be waterproof lol hopefully !
