haven't put it through any serious clamping tests yet, but I think it should pass. it did have a missing tooth in the casting out of the box, I didn't think it was worth trying to do anything about.

I_e only been able to use the vice on a limited number of occasions, so far but it has performed even better than expected.The ability to rotate the vice head to hold round stock is well worth any extra spent on the device over a simple mechanics vice. Not to mention the space saved with having one vice instead of two.After greater use and some time I should be able to judge the sturdiness of the rotating mechanism but so far it seem very solid and durable. The real value of items like this is how they perform over time and you only notice them when they stop performing well, so far it_ perfect.
