I found this item worked as identified, however if you are using ultra light or ultra thin tiles you may have to develop a technique as the the weight of the scribe transfer differs over the length of the tile. What I did was reversed the tile before the snap and had no problems thereafter with clean breaks. Just saying. I bought this item as it was a saving on a rental and was satisfied. For you consideration.
